The new Civil Transactions Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 25 of 2025) constitutes a major reform of the existing Code. Among other matters, it introduces important changes relating to price revision mechanisms (for example, in construction contracts), the court’s power to reassess the quantum of damages, the legal effect of security interests, the principle of good faith in pre-contractual negotiations, and the validity of framework agreements.
